THE MOST PROMISING PROGRAMME AWARD

The Most Promising Programme Award is a CauseBecause initiative to recognize and felicitate programmes that are complementing the efforts of international communities and governments to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The idea is to encourage and motivate non-profits to align their programmes’ objectives with the SDGs as also to create impacting models that can be adopted or replicated for a larger impact.
Starting with this edition of Coffee For Cause, the awardees will be selected through a planned evaluation process and will be felicitated at the event by distinguished individuals from the domain.* 

 

*There is no nomination fee and any non-profit organization can nominate itself for the award.

The themes/categories under the award will be broadly based on the SDGs mentioned below:

  2. Category II: Good Health and Well-being/Clean Water & Sanitation
  3. Category III: Quality Education
  4. Category IV: Gender Equality/Reduced Inequalities

NOMINATION Steps

  1. Prepare your programme brief (less than 500 words) if applying for Most Promising Programme Award. Programme brief to be shared by 10 June 2018
  2. Read all the fields in the form before starting to fill it.
  3. Fill in the form and press ‘submit’.
  4. If you wish to send a PowerPoint presentation or other literature, email the same to admin@causebecause.com with [PPT ORGANIZATION NAME] as subject. PPTs and other literature to be shared by 10 June 2018.

EVALUATION PROCESS

STEP 1: Basic screening: All nominations will be screened for eligibility, relevance of answers, and information authenticity

STEP 2: Evaluation and shortlisting by Team CauseBecause on 

  • Programme concept – assess how the programme relates to, and impacts, the Sustainable Development Goals
  • Programme approach, strategy and theory of change
  • Impact so far and the measurement indicators and parameters
  • Assess scaling-up potential as well as sustainability 

STEP 3:  Site visits, interactions with beneficiaries as well as conversations with all possible stakeholders including relevant government officials and influencing opinion leaders in communities  

STEP 4: The shortlisted programme to be shared with independent jury comprising accomplished individuals from different fields/areas of work directly or indirectly influencing the sustainability domain

 

*Shortlisted programmes list will be made public only after declaration of winners at Coffee for Cause. The winners, however, will be intimated about a week in advance. 

Note: Nomination for the award DOES NOT make you eligible to participate in Coffee for Cause. Registration is mandatory for award nominees as well.

1. What is the objective of the award?

2. What are the themes/categories under which the award will be presented?
The themes/categories under the award will be broadly based on the SDGs mentioned below:

3. Should the nominated programme be an ongoing programme or a programme that was recently completed?

Only ongoing programmes are eligible for nomination. Already completed/closed programmes are not eligible for the award. 

4. Is there any fee to apply for the award?

There is no fee to apply for the award. It is open to all not-for-profit organizations from across India.

5. When and where is the awards ceremony?

The awards will be given during Coffee for Cause on 22 June 2018 in New Delhi.

6. When will the winners be announced?

Winners will be informed about a week before Coffee for Cause.

 

NOTE:

Winners may be asked to present their programme on stage during  Coffee For Cause. A brief note on the programme will be published on CauseBecause website as well as its print version and e-newsletters.

1. How will you apply?

STEP 2: Fill in the required details – viz. applicant name, designation, email, etc.

*Avoid exceeding 500 words while writing the programme brief.

*Avoid exceeding 300 words while writing organization profile.

STEP 3: Upload all documents listed below the form (PDFs only) before submitting.

2. Can you resubmit our application or modify any information in the application form post the submission?

Once the application is submitted, no changes will be accommodated. In case of submission of multiple applications (from same organization), only first submission will be taken into consideration and subsequent submissions will get rejected.

3. Can you submit multiple applications on the same theme with different projects or applications under different themes?

This is strongly discouraged. Only ONE application for one category will be accepted. 

4. How will you get to know if your application has been submitted and acknowledged?

You will receive an auto-generated email acknowledging successful submission of your application. (Do check your ‘spam’ folder before reaching out to us to confirm application.)

5. Will you be getting any feedback in case your application gets rejected at any stage?

No. CauseBecause will revert to shortlisted applicants only. The team will reach out to the shortlisted ones at second stage of evaluation for site visits and to speak to relevant stakeholders.
